I heard the BG/LG mock meet went great today! I was sad to miss it. I hope it helped our new swimmers to get an idea of how a meet runs and feel a little more comfortable for next week. 

REMINDER: We do not have practice on Monday because of Memorial Day.

This is for the Rookie and non-competitive 5-6s parents:

Before our home meets, we do a fun thing called a "Rookie Meet". We set aside some time for the littles to get a feel of "racing" and having crowd support of love & cheers around them. The coaches will be in the water with them. The kids will have their name announced, and then hear the airhorn to signal them to jump in from the block or the side. They will swim down the lane with the coaches, and end by getting a ribbon. This year, our home meets happen to be the first two weeks. Also, they are at the beginning of the week. Because of these two reasons, our new Rookies will not have had a chance to meet the coaches yet because their first practice is the day after our first home meet. I know they may feel a little awkard jumping into the water to a complete stranger. If you would like your child to participate, respond to this email letting me know. I will make a line-up so the coaches will be prepared. If they don't want to join in yet, I totally undertsand. Hopefully for the second meet they will! The Rookie Meet starts at 4:30pm.
